How has this scholarship helped you?
The scholarship gave me confidence to attend college, knowing that I have financial assistance for books, supplies, and general support is a big relief for me. Having that stress eliminated has been key to my success in school because I can focus on schoolwork, not financial troubles.

Where do you think you would be without this scholarship?
I think that without this scholarship I would still be in college, but I would probably be a part time student because I would have to work full time to create the financial security that this scholarship has offered. I have been able to stay in school full time which is helping me to reach my goals in a more timely manner.

Highlights of your post-secondary education.
I love my internship at the Butler County Coroner’s Office. The internship has lead me to reassess my life goals and has given me a passion. It is unpaid but thanks to the scholarship I’m able to continue the internship since I don’t have to worry as much about finances. The internship has provided insight to the forensics world more than school has, but combined I feel prepared for my future career as a death investigator.
