I am Tracey Tindall, MSW, LISW. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Miami University, Oxford. I am a licensed independent social worker in Ohio. I have worked with children and their families enduring crisis and trauma in the field as a mental health therapist, child forensic interviewer, sexual assault advocate, and worked with teens in the juvenile detention center. In addition to this work, I was recently a visiting instructor at Miami University, Oxford, where I taught undergraduate and graduate students on the topic of Family Violence, and undergraduate students on the topic of Child Development and Parenting.
I have extensive trauma therapy training, play therapy training, and am in the process of being certified as a Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT).
When working with children and their families, I take a holistic approach and consider, ‘what has happened to this person?’… and never, ‘what is wrong with this person?’
I have also authored a book entitled, Who Do I Tell?. The book opens the discussion of child abuse in an effort to protect children by letting them know it is okay to tell a trusted adult when they do not feel safe or someone has touched them in an inappropriate way.
Besides helping children and families, I love to play and cuddle with my four pups.
