Hi, my name is Sara Balog. I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in social work from Wright State University. I am currently working on receiving my Independent License in Social Work. I work in the foster care system and in community based settings with at risk youth who have experienced trauma, reactive attachment disorders, depression and anxiety disorders.
I have received training in reactive attachment disorder to gain more knowledge on the background and interventions to utilize with my client population. My approach to therapy includes utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, individualistic perspective, trauma informed care, and sensory interventions. I am truly passionate about helping young individuals experience resiliency to handle difficult situations and hardships in their life. My goal is to allow the individual to feel heard in a trustworthy, safe environment. I hope to bring a positive energy, patience, and whole-heartedness into every family and youth relationship. I am a strong believer of utilizing an individualistic approach to understand the individual’s strengths and interests to determine what is best for them in the therapeutic process.
