Hello! My name is Brianna Farr, and I have been studying social work for two years. Before beginning my graduate degree in social work, I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Bowling Green State University. I have recently graduated from the Wright State University and Miami University Greater Miami Valley Joint Program with a Master’s degree in Social Work. My past experiences include working with youth who have suffered from trauma in a school-based setting, as well as youth in the Miami Valley providing mental health services as an Intern for CHOICES Inc.
My passion for social work began with my interest in helping others. I have always had a very empathetic personality so supporting and guiding youth and families as a mental health therapist is a perfect fit for me. My therapeutic approach is always first and foremost a collaborative approach with each individual. I typically utilize a range of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Solution Focused Therapy, and some Play Therapy techniques. My goal is to always take a strengths based approach to guide individuals and their families to a path for successful change.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
