We are excited to inform you about this NEW 3 part series about the journey to becoming a foster parent! Is this training for you…
- Has the thought of becoming a foster parent crossed your mind?
- Have you wondered the steps of becoming a foster parent?
- Have you wanted to be a foster parent but the myths have held you back?
- You know what you want to do it, but you aren’t sure when is the right time?
Our new series will hopefully answer the unknown for you and provide you with all the information you need to know in order to seriously consider joining us on this journey!
CHOICES is partnering with Beavercreek Nazarene offering the following sessions to answer all of your questions. We invite you to join us, even if you aren’t ready to start the licensing process. It is our hope that our team and current foster parents can give you a more realistic snapshot of being a foster parent and what it takes to become licensed.
The sessions are as follows:
October 25 – Making the Connection with Faith and Foster Care – Presented by Robert Bruce, CHOICES Independent Living Manager
November 1 – Foster Parent Panel Q & A – A diverse panel of current CHOICES foster parents that will share about their experiences and dispel the myths of foster parenting
November 8 – The Licensing Process and Other Ways to Help – CHOICES staff will review the licensing process and explain other ways to help if you aren’t quite ready to foster.
All sessions will take place at Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene beginning at 6:30 pm and ending at 8pm. Children are welcome to attend the children’s ministry events during this time or go to the nursery if not yet walking. Sessions will take place in room FL1.
Please RSVP by calling 937-264-0084 ext.111. We invite you to attend all of these sessions, but if you can only make one that is fine too!
